African Lion Art
African lion art, such as a picture, is used to promote their conservation.
The species ranges from northern Africa through southwest Asia, west into Europe and east into India. Males are about 4 feet tall and usually weigh from 350 to 550 pounds. When trying to catch their prey these cats are capable of running about 35 miles per hour.

These cats live in prides. A single dominant male or a coalition of males, who defend the territory, normally leads the pride. The roles of males and females are rather different. Females usually do all the hunting for the pride. Males protect their pride from outside males. African lion art, such as a picture, is used to promote their conservation.
