The ARI no longer requires photographs of the animals. The signatures of the dam’s and sire’s owners and a small fiber sample are necessary. Animals of pet quality cannot breed and can be kept as pets only in order not to worsen the breed.

Every owner of a purebred animal should have all necessary documents; usually animals for sale have been already registered. Every animal passes through the DNA analysis for parents’ confirmation and is given a certificate. Purebred animals have a name with no more than 35 characters.
