Animal Pictures Gallery Submission

Do you want to include your pet in one of the Pictures Galleries? (birds, cats, dogs, exotics, farm animals, horses, reptiles, small animals)

If you would like to contribute pictures to any of the Pictures Galleries, just complete the submission form.

Scanning: If your pictures are not yet scanned, you may mail your pictures through the post office and we'll scan the ones we can use. Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you want the pictures to be returned to you. Nevertheless, all images submitted become the property of Gotpetsonline.com.

Ownership: By submitting pictures to us for our Pictures Galleries, you hereby grant Gotpetsonline a perpetual, universal, nonexclusive right to copy, display, modify, alter, transmit and distribute any materials provided by you. You agree that you are the owner of all materials submitted by you to Gotpetsonline and you represent and guarantee to Gotpetsonline, as a condition of submitting pictures, that you are the legal owner of the copyright to all materials you submit to Gotpetsonline or that you have permission from the copyright owner to submit the materials to Gotpetsonline.

Credit and notification: If we are able to use your pictures, we will give you credit under each of your pictures just like we have done with other pictures on this site. We will notify you by email once your pictures are online; otherwise, the only response you will receive is an autoresponse when we receive your pictures by email. Please allow 30 days for your pictures to be posted.

Quality: Only high quality pictures are accepted. Good pictures show the breed as accurately as possible. The picture should be a close-up, preferably showing all of the animal at an attractive angle. It should be a nice, clean, sharp image.

The best pictures:

(1) do not show red eyes,
(2) are not taken from behind a fence,
(3) do not include humans, although some with kids are good,
(4) are not protected by copyright by a professional photographer unless you have received written permission for us to use the pictures, and
(5) are un-retouched by any optimization program.

Size: The actual animal portion of the picture should be at least 5 inches in width or height at 72 dpi or more, in jpg format. Usually this means the picture should be at least 400 KB. Pictures should be no larger than 1,500 KB.

Identification of pictures should include:

(1) the name of the breed, and
(2) how you would like your "picture credit" to read. For instance, what kennel, business, or photographer would you like to receive credit for the picture?

If you know of someone else who might be interested in submitting their pet pictures to the Pictures Galleries, please tell them about this site.

If your pictures are not posted within 30 days, it is probably due to a problem with picture quality. In this case, please try to send better pictures that meet the above recommendations. A good quality picture is required for acceptance.
