Bengal Cub Tiger

A bengal cub tiger is rarely seen on farms; hunting them is outlawed in some parts of the world. They are not very good hunters, as they cannot run fast and climb the trees with the ease of some other felines. There are one to six babies in a litter. They usually stay with their mother and learn to hunt until they are two years of age. Hunting for large game is not always easy for them, and only 10% of all attacks are successful. These animals hunt by way of staying under cover until prey gets close enough so that the animal can come right down on it and pin it to the ground and use its strong teeth and sharp claws on it. The species is considered endangered due to the low numbers left in the wild. The greater population is found in zoos and special parks where they are protected. In the wild, they are solitary and can be seen together only during the mating season or when a female rears the young. On some occasions, they may unite to share a large kill. Wild animals usually avoid contact with humans, but old and ill animals are more likely to pick on a human. A nursing mother can be very aggressive toward anything or anyone approaching her lair and may attack in defending her young. A bengal cub tiger is rarely seen on farms; hunting them is outlawed in some parts of the world.
