Such animals appear in the wild only once in a great while, because the gene for such coat color is recessive. These cats differ from ordinary orange individuals in having blue eyes, pink nose and paw pads and creamy fur with chocolate stripes. They are frequently mistaken for albinos, while the stripes and blue eyes are indicative of the presence of melanin in their bodies. They grow faster and larger than their orange counterparts. Somehow, species of this coat color only occur within this particular subspecies, although their gene pool might have been polluted due to careless inbreeding.

The method of inbreeding was used for many years; only recently problems associated with inbreeding were discovered. They are: crossed eyes, spine curvature, a high rate of abortions and stillbirths, shorter lifespan. These creatures attract millions of visitors who come rushing in to take a look at this wonder of the nature. However, they have to pay a high price for their beauty because their unusual coat color makes them visible for potential prey and they cannot hunt normally.
