The White Bengal Tiger

In captivity, these creatures are bred successfully. There are about 300 such animals in the world. The problem of inbreeding is very acute in such animals. It results in several breeding depressions, so hybridization with orange animals is now used. These animals are susceptible to spinal curvatures, twisted necks and crossed eyes. Some have shortened tendons in the legs. Strangely enough, wild species of this coloration only occur in this particular subspecies and are in no way related to the other four subspecies.

These animals are not albinos and they don’t live in Siberia contrary to some people’s beliefs. It is just a color variation of the Pantera tigris. These animals are very rare in the wild, about 1 cub out of 10,000 births. They have dark strips, like all other animals. Most of them have blue eyes, but some species feature yellow or green eyes. They grow faster and larger than their orange counterparts, and can be prone to orthopedic problems.
