The usual prey of these animals is deer, buffalo, antelope, and sometimes they kill livestock. They may capture prey item in excess of 900 kg and drag it to secure place. Most animals of this species keep away from human settlements, but sometimes they may become man-eaters. Those are usually ill or old species that cannot hunt normally. They are solitary animals and usually avoid contacts with each other except during mating seasons. Males are very territorial and maintain home ranges measuring up to 200 square miles. They mark their territory by spraying urine.

Pictures Of Bengal Tigers -
rescue, breeders
This species is second only to Siberian cousins in size, reaching up to 3 meters in length and 230 kg at weight. The power of these creatures is tremendous; they kill large game easily and quickly, just breaking the neck or spine. They are strong enough to drag a prey weighing several hundred pounds as long as 1,500 feet. Despite their superb agility and enviable strength, it takes a lot of effort and time for them to succeed in killing large animals. Sometimes, only one out of every 10 attacks is successful.
