These animals are characterized by striped fur; usually they have orange stripes on the black background. This is one of the largest animals on the planet; males reach up to 3 meters in length and up to 230 kg in weight. White, black, albino and stripeless varieties are rare. They have white coat, dark stripes, pink nose and blue eyes; however, some whites have green or yellow eyes. There are about 50 white species in zoos, and zoos benefit from keeping them as visitors come rushing in to see these unusual creatures.
