Asian Black Bear

Asian black bear is not considered a threat to farms, thus, hunting them is not justified. These animals prefer to live in dense temperate or tropical forests or mountainous regions and can be found in elevations of 10,000 feet. Like all its relatives, this species is omnivorous and prefers vegetation, insects, birds and small mammals; occasionally it feeds on carrion. Ursus tibetanus is a medium-sized animal with a distinct V-shaped creamy patch on the chest. The ears of this species are much larger than those of other species. They are found in Southern Asia from Afghanistan to Japan, but the population is very vulnerable due to habitat destruction. Asian black bear is not considered a threat to farms, thus, hunting them is not justified.
