North American Elk
North american elk don't usually live on farms; you can see photos, however, by looking them up online.
Generally speaking, they are members of the deer family that live in close association with the deer and moose throughout much of Utah. The cows are naturally smaller than the males and do not have antlers. Mature bulls stand up to 60 inches at the shoulder and may weigh up to 700 pounds.

These animals are also called as the moose; and their scientific name is Alces Alces. In the wild they are found in northern Europe, North America, and Asia. Their mating period begins in September and lasts to October and the gestation period lasts about 250 days afterwards the only young is born.
