Exotic Breeder

An exotic breeder should be against hunting and for conservation. The Bengal tigers are large, striped cats from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Burma. In the wild, they occupy a great variety of habitat, from rainforests to swamps. They live about 15 years in the wild, but can live much longer in captivity. Bengal tigers are the second largest felines in the world, being only second to Amur tigers. They have long hind legs that enable them to make long leaps. Bengal tigers are renowned for their ability to jump about 10 meters high. The arrangement of bones under the tongue enables them to produce loud roars that can be heard more than two miles away. hunting, conservation

There are only about 2000 of these animals in the wild. They are close to extinction due to habitat destruction and illegal hunting. In most countries, killing and selling these animals is banned. But unfortunately they are still killed for their pelts and body parts that are valued by Asian medicine. Although Bengal tigers are the most numerous of the five existing subspecies, they are also threatened by extinction. It has been estimated that in the early 1990s there were as many as 40,000 Bengals in the world, while now there are only 4,000 species left. Hopefully, captive breeding will help us avoid their total destruction and we will not lose them in another 20 years. An exotic breeder should be against hunting and for conservation.
