The Alaska grizzly bear is one of the biggest bears known and makes a grand picture, and is protected by conservation groups.
The color ranges from white and blonde to brown and black. The species eats a lot of plants, roots, and sometimes hunts for calves of elk and moose. They also feed on larvae of ants and wasps and catch fish, and small mammals (mice, squirrels) and vertebrates.
