Big Bear Grizzly

A big bear grizzly and its baby are prize animals which is why conservation groups try so hard to protect them. In the late summer and fall, when the heat is not so unbearable, the animals are active throughout the day and feed intensively to store fat. Males are usually larger than females, yet are not fully mature until they are 12 months of age.
