Leopard Cub

The offspring opens the eyes at 7-10 days. They reach sexual maturity at the age of 2.5-3 years, but become independent of mother in between 12 and 20 months. The mother teaches her children to hunt and survive in harsh conditions.

The reproductive rate of these animals is rather slow. Females five birth to 1-3 babies after a gestation of 105 days. The mother looks for a suitable place in advance. It can be a cave or a hollow tree. Leopard cub hunting is banned; you can see them in some local farms where they are kept on chains.
