These are carnivorous animals. They feed on turtles, opossums, rabbits, monkeys, rodents, snakes, small deer, sometimes fish and birds. If an Ocelot lives nit far from the village it may hunt ducks, chickens and even dogs.

Ocelots are nocturnal solitary wild cats. They have strong muscular bodies with soft short coats. Their average life span is 8 years in the wild and they can live up to 20 years in captivity.
