Asian Spotted Leopards

Asian Spotted leopards originate in Southeast Asia including Indochina and the island of Java. Naturally occurring populations are diminished due to the poaching for captivating fur coats and for bones used in Asian medicine as well as habitat loss. It favors forests and forest boundary habitats where it can utilize trees for protection and surveillance. The Asian leopard is smaller than the African with Ocelot type spots, but other differences are not very clear.
