From Borneo, the Bay cat is virtually unknown behaviorally or genetically. It is bright reddish chestnut brown with faint spots on the paler underside and limbs. Its head has a dark top and an "M" marking on the back and a white chin. Two dark stripes cross the cheeks from the outer eye. Its long tapered tail has a white streak, white tip, and black spot. Its diet is small mammals, birds, monkeys and carrion.
Also called Bornean Red Cat.
