Northern African sandy semiarid deserts are home for a Fennec Fox. These animals eat plants, small mammals, lizards, and insects. They derive most of their water from consumed plants. Burrowed under rock piles and bush roots with several entrances their dens shelter about 10 Fennecs. Hairy soles, large bat-like ears on small heads, narrow muzzle, round pupils, and small teeth, describe them. The fennec fox has a very bushy black-tipped tail and thick, luxurious cream-like fur.
