Not really endangered or threatened by guns, these mammals are under global warning. Females are loosing too much weight and can’t feed cubs, which are replenished at a lifetime rate of two batches of 3-4 cubs; both mother and cubs die. Pollution is also finding its way into their food.

This 550 to 1595 pound marine mammal lives in the Arctic circumpolar regions living up to 25 years. Their main diet is seals preferably the ringed seal. The white furry coat is key to survival; dense fur with long guard hairs keep the skin dry while size minimizes heat loss. Polar bear pictures are very helful to encourage conservation.
