The diet of binturongs consists of plants and animals so they eat carrion, rodents, eggs, birds, bananas, melon, grapes, apples, oranges, carrots and cooked sweet potatoes. Unlike cats, their bite is not aimed at a specific body part and birds are not plucked before eating. Exotic breeders will offer a picture of the species and a baby photo.
