Red panda babies can be seen in most sites that feature photos of exotic bears.
Hunting this species is banned, but some animals get into traps set for deer and other game. Among natural predators, leopards and martens are the most dangerous. In spite of protective measures the number of these animals is still declining.

This species is listed as endangered. The main reason for that is habitat destruction and human activities that effect food sources. Armed conflicts pollute large territories and lead to death of many animals. Domestic animals hunt these creatures and compete for food. Red panda babies can be seen in most sites that feature photos of exotic bears.
