Seal Pup
A seal pup is difficult to raise on a farm; hunting these animals is banned in most of their habitats.
The young usually stay in the den for about 6 weeks. The mothers feed their babies milk they produce. Sometimes females make several dens in case a kind of danger to move the babies if necessary.

Females give birth to her babies usually in spring on land or on the pack ice. Females of the ringed species give birth to the babies in a small den in the snow on top of the ice. It is the way of protection the babies from various enemies. A seal pup is difficult to raise on a farm; hunting these animals is banned in most of their habitats.
