A hawaiian monk seal is not raised on farms, as such babies are difficult to keep as pets.
Adult animals have brownish coat while juveniles coat is silvery gray on the back and sides and creamy white on the belly, chest and throat. Pups’ coat at birth is black and woolly, with fuzzy, short hair.

Hawaiian Monk Seal -

Animals of this species live for 25-30 years. They grow to a weight of 300 to 400 pounds for adult males and 400 to 600 pounds for females and 30 to 40 pounds for newborn pups. As a rule, new born pups are 30-40 inches in length. A hawaiian monk seal is not raised on farms, as such babies are difficult to keep as pets.
