These are the biggest cats and they are very beautiful and elegant. They weigh about 400-700 pounds and their length is about 8-10 feet excluding their rattling tail that is 25-28 inches long. The home of the animals is Siberia, eastern Asia, northern China, and Manchuria. They have a reputation of being ‘vicious man-eating monsters’, but in fact, they do not deserve such an attitude and usually avoid contact with humans. However, old or ill animals that cannot hunt normally are likely to attack humans. Nursing females are naturally protective around their cubs.
