These cats are listed as endangered species and if there were about 100000 representatives a century ago now there are only 5000 species left in the wild. These animals are protected in every country except Myanmar, where the illegal traffic in their parts continues. However, even in those countries where laws are hard on poachers, the killing is still under way. For this reason, the number of these animals continues to decrease, and we are running the risk of not seeing such an animal in another 20-30 years.
