Usually females produce one baby per year. They are born naked and blind and have to climb up the mother’s stomach to the pouch, where they attach themselves to one of the four nipples. Two days after the birth females are ready to mate again.

If you want your animal to be tame take it away from the mother and bottle rear it like a human child. These species breed during the fall and the babies remain in the pouch about 6 months and begin to poke their heads in the spring.
